On September 21, the WeStart 2025 TOP100 Overseas Teams Entrepreneurial Investment Conference was held at Zhangjiang Science Hall, bringing together overseas startups, investors, and innovation partners.

Dr Patrick Berbon (白瑞克), Co-founder and Managing Partner of CM Venture, served as a competition judge, evaluating projects for their innovation, technological advantage and maturity, market potential, and team. He shared insights on Shanghai’s investment ecosystem and opportunities in advanced materials, energy, and sustainable manufacturing. Patrick also proposed solutions for overseas startups seeking investment in Shanghai, drawing upon his over ten years of experience in hard technology investment.

The event recognized eight Winning Teams and eight Most Promising Teams, highlighting Shanghai’s growing role as a hub for global innovation and entrepreneurship.
