Averatek is pleased to announce that Dr. Scott Meikle has joined Averatek as CEO; he may join the Board of Directors at a future Board meeting. Dr. Meikle has more than 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. For the past 6 years he was at Lam Research, most recently as SVP – Global Customer Operations; Lam is a leading manufacturer of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and semiconductor packaging products with over $19 Billion in revenue and 20,000 employees. Dr. Meikle also worked for Micron, another semiconductor giant, for over 20 years in R&D, manufacturing, and executive positions. Prior to that he was President for over 5 years of Inotera Memories, a publicly listed company in Taiwan.
Averatek has exciting opportunities for its patented Liquid Metal Ink™ technology in the rapidly evolving semiconductor packaging industry across a broad range of medical, consumer, aerospace, and defense applications. The Averatek Board believes that Dr Meikle’s extensive experience and network across the electronics industry, from the United States and Europe to Asia, will be tremendously valuable in setting strategy and driving customer and partner relationships for the company. With the expansion into the semiconductor packaging sector, Dr. Meikle will lead the existing team at Averatek and build out the executive team at the company.
Outgoing CEO Haris Basit remains a Senior Advisor to the company. Basit commented: “I am proud of Averatek’s accomplishments during my six years as CEO. We entered and grew in the PCB market. I am very excited that Dr. Meikle is joining now as CEO to drive growth in the semiconductor substrate packaging market.
