Econic Technologies × Changhua Chemical
CM brought Econic Technologies and Changhua Chemical together around a shared opportunity in the Chinese market. The relationship developed into a long-term licensing agreement, creating a strong commercial pathway for Econic’s catalyst technology while enabling Changhua to manufacture CO₂-based polyols at scale. The collaboration has since progressed to commercial-scale production, demonstrating how technology licensing can provide a route from innovation to industrial deployment.

BASF first invested in CM Venture Capital’s Fund II, after which CM identified an opportunity to connect BASF with Prismlab, one of our portfolio companies. This led to BASF’s strategic investment in Prismlab and grew into broader technical and commercial collaboration. Bringing together Prismlab’s 3D-printing technology with BASF’s materials expertise and global industry network, their work has included materials and technology integration and joint product development.

CM’s long-standing partnership with PepsiCo’s Greenhouse Accelerator created a pathway to bring Enwise’s green power plant technology into PepsiCo’s manufacturing environment. At the Lay’s facility in Wuhan, Enwise deployed an on-site system to convert production waste, including potato peelings and wastewater sludge, into renewable electricity for factory operations. Building on the initial deployment, the project entered a second phase to upgrade biogas into renewable biomethane, expanding both the scope of the technology and its potential for wider industrial application.
